Kathleen Oropeza

Kathleen Oropeza is a writer, organizer, long-time education advocate and mother of two from Orlando, Florida. She is the founder of Fund Education Now, a non-partisan grassroots effort to reverse the negative effects of education reform, inspire citizen advocacy and educate voters and politicians about the importance of making pro-public education policy a litmus test for holding office. She is the creator of The EdVocate Blog and co-founder of Common Ground, a new working group of organizations representing the entire political spectrum who believe high quality free public education is the right of every child.
