Jamie Longazel is an associate professor at John Jay College and the CUNY Graduate Center. He is the author of Undocumented Fears: Immigration and the Politics of Divide and Conquer in Hazleton, Pennsylvania and co-editor with Miranda Hallett of the forthcoming book Migration and Mortality: Social Death, Dispossession, and Survival in the Americas.
