3 Reasons Why You Should Support The Progressive's Endowment
- You appreciate what The Progressive stands for: peace, political and economic democracy, a preserved environment; an end to all discrimination, the curbing of corporate power, opposition to militarism and war and empire; the promotion of universal health care, labor rights, civil rights, human rights, civil liberties, and nonviolence.
- You value independent media. The consolidated corporate media doesn't tell you what's really going. But The Progressive does. As Fighting Bob La Follette wrote in 1920: "Do you want to be free, economically and politically free? Then organize for a free and independent press."
- You are concerned about the fate of our country -- and our planet. The dream of democracy in America is under unprecedented assault today by the corporate elite and a resurgent rightwing movement. The planet itself spins on an ever-more fragile axis. Beset by global warming, war, and inequality, the very survival of the Earth itself is at risk. The Progressive not only throws a spotlight on these dangers, it offers solutions to them.
For more than 100 years, The Progressive has been carrying the torch for progressive values -- your values. With your support, it will continue for another 100 years or more.
