We can put a man on the moon, but we can't feed our own people? Gil Scott-Heron wrote his classic poem during the deindustrializing days of the 1970s. Given the current recession and rising inequality, the question still rights true today. I'm all for scientific exploration, but let's get our priorities straight: food, shelter, and education for everyone, right here on Earth.
