Dear Friend:
So Sunday morning I'm watching Tim Russert, and there is Joe Lieberman, crowing so sanctimoniously. And I notice that there remains a real possibility that he'll switch teams and become a Republican. "I won't rule it out," he tells Russert. When I go to work Monday, I'm still in a lather. My way of coping is to write.
Here's my article, entitled "Lieberman Might Jump Ship."
I'd like to offer you the insights of our Managing Editor Amitabh Pal, who writes of Rumsfeld's replacement: "Gates Is a Bad Retread."
And our Culture Editor, Elizabeth DiNovella, is in Jordan right now for an international conference on community radio. You can read her first blog about her trip here.
I hope you enjoy this week's menu.
Best,
Matthew RothschildEditor, The Progressive
