DUMB: Distributing fliers discouraging underage drinking is noble. Failing to double-check the phone number on said is dumb. Edmond, Oklahoma, Mayor Saundra Naifeh and more than five dozen volunteers went door-to-door Saturday to deliver 22,000 fliers discouraging underage drinking. The fliers contained a number promising "exciting live talk" for 99 cents to $2.99 a minute.
DUMBER: Stealing bank cards and a bus pass from someone's home is dumb. Stopping and posing for a photo before running away is dumber. Daniel Johnson, 32, plead guilty to burglary charges in England. According to authorites, Johnson "consented" to having his picture taken by a neighbor on her camera phone before he made his escape on a bike.
DUMBEST: Being too drunk to drive and letting someone else take the wheel is usually considered smart ... unless that person is a young child. Alfredo Martinez, 37, was charged with felony child endangerment after authorities spotted his car weaving across lanes and stopping suddenly. Reno cops allegedly found Martinez intoxicated in the passenger seat and his seven-year-old son behind the wheel.
