Robert Marion "Fighting Bob" La Follette Sr. served as a member of the U.S. House of Representatives, was the Governor of Wisconsin, and was a U.S. Senator from Wisconsin from 1906 to 1925. He founded The Progressive Magazine, called La Follette's Weekly, in 1909.
