Margaret Rozga creates poetry from her ongoing concern for social justice issues, including the issue of fair housing in her book, Two Hundred Nights and One Day. As the 2019-2020 Wisconsin Poet Laureate she edited On the Front Line / Behind the Lines and co-edited ThroughThis Door: Wisconsin in Poems. In 2021 she was named the inaugural scholar/artist in residence at the University of Wisconsin Milwaukee at Waukesha Field Station. Her new manuscript, Restoring Prairie, poems inspired by that Field Station experience, is scheduled for publication in 2024 by Cornerstone Press, the publisher also of her 2021 volume, Holding My Selves Together: New & Selected Poems.
