Our local Montessori School,

Our local Montessori School, in western North Carolina, which has been running for over 25 years, has applied for charter status and lost every year. They have more than proven, in our very low-income area, that they can survive, are valued by the community, and provide a good education. Why do we give charters to people with no proven record of running a school for the purpose of education, who are clearly just business people?
Also- Progressive- could you please date all these articles? I would like to see when each was posted. Thanks!

We, in the Akron Public

We, in the Akron Public Schools said this would happen when David Brennan first brought the idea up years ago! The Government has screwed up Public Education with stupid policies like the Common Core while this was going on in Charter Schools and they looked the other way! Let's grease our businessmen buddies palms!
