At the beginning of 2003, with George W. Bush and Dick Cheney dragging the country toward the abyss of the Iraq War, the editor of The Progressive magazine, Matthew Rothschild, felt an urgent need to reach as many people as possible about the threat this war posed. So began "Progressive Point of View," Rothschild’s brief audio commentaries, Monday-Friday, which run approximately 90 seconds.
These punchy, timely commentaries cover a wide range of topics, including the Iraq and Afghanistan wars, the crisis in Palestine and in Israel, U.S. involvement in kidnapping and torture, global warming, civil liberties at home, the economy, the Obama administration, the threat from the far right, gay rights, immigrant rights, and many more.
These radio commentaries are recorded at Audio for the Arts [5], one of the finest recording studios in the Upper Midwest. The quality is crystal clear.
